Our Mission: Celebrating and Cultivating the Arts in the Rivertowns.

RiverArts has grown to become a haven – and inspiration – for a wide range of visual and performing artists and art lovers throughout lower Westchester and beyond. RiverArts produces and promotes high quality cultural events and educational programs that engage communities and support local artists.

Our annual events include the annual Studio Tour, in which more than 80 artists residing in our communities open their studios and homes to the public, an annual Music Tour, in which 90 performances occur throughout one day in 25 venues throughout our towns, and a long established contemporary dance performance, in which both cutting edge and more established dance companies are brought to the Rivertowns for an annual performance. Other events include intimate conversations and screenings with artists, theater and spoken word.

Artist Conversations explore the creative process and have included world renowned playwright J.T. Rogers, multi-award winning children's book illustrators Peter Sis, Ed Young, and Jerry Pinkney, Hollywood Sound Editor Jennifer Dunnington, renowned Actress Maddie Corman, Ballet Hispanico’s Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro, and many others, all residing within our communities. The moderator is Christina Ha, arts correspondent on Channel 13's NYC-Arts, and resident of Dobbs Ferry.

Our signature programs include after-school music lessons [more than 8,000 lessons per year including both private and group: three Jazz Ensembles, a Cello Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble and Summer Camps including the 34-year-old SummerArts Workshops for kids, and Jazz Camp.
